Yarn, needles and knitting tension
Yarn selection
Recommended yardage: approx. 380–400 m (416–437 yds) per 100 g
- Long-sleeved sweater: 2–5 balls of yarn with a length of approx. 380–400 m (416–437 yds) per 100 g, depending on size.
- Vest/short sleeves: 2-4 skeins of the same yarn, depending on size.
- Both models: 1–2 skeins of yarn with short color sequences and the same yardage.
- A leftover ball of yarn of the same thickness (preferably cotton in a contrasting color) for temporary casting on.
- Knitting needles (possibly double-pointed needles for sleeves) 3.5 mm – or the size that gives the correct knitting tension
- Crochet hook for temporary layering if needed
- 3-5 mask markers that can be opened
- 3–5 buttons and needle and thread for assembly

Description
Construction
Hexa Mini Cardi is knitted in modules – triangle by triangle – in stockinette stitch (right-side rows), and there is only a little sewing on the shoulders.
Stitches are picked up along the way, and the pieces are knitted together directly.
The model can be knitted with long sleeves or as a vest with short sleeves.
The front edges are closed with buttons.
The name
The name Hexa refers to the hexagon formed in the middle of the back by six triangles—a characteristic construction that forms the basis of the model.
The name Hexa Mini Cardi was chosen because the model is designed for children.
