Yarn choice

The pattern can be knitted with:

The most important thing is that the gauge is correct.

Model yarn and colours

The model in the picture is size (L) and is knitted in:
– Baby Alpaca (lace weight, held double)
– Kid Mohair (2-ply, one strand)
in approx.48 different colours and 2 qualities.
However, the sweater can easily be knitted with fewer (or more) colours and isperfect as a stash-busting project.

Construction

The Signa Sweater consists of a total of 381 triangles of the same size, plus 2 smaller triangles placed at the back neckline.

All triangles are knitted in garter stitch (garter ridges), one at a time and in one color. Stitches are picked up/knitted along the way, so the triangles are knitted directly next to and in continuation of each other – with no seaming involved.

The triangles form hexagons that connect and create the structure of the sweater. To give the sweater a good fit, there are a few places where the triangles instead form pentagons or heptagons.
All edges – neck, sleeves, and bottom hem – are finished with an i-cord.
