The pattern is knitted with three strands of lace weight yarn held together – e.g. Kid Mohair/silk (approx. 210 m / 230 yds per 25 g).
This combination corresponds approximately to Worsted weight (US category 4 = approx. 160–220 m / 175–240 yds per 100 g) – yarn of this thickness can also be used for the pattern.
The most important thing is that the knitting tension is correct.

Note: Three strands of lace weight mohair/silk (approx. 210 m / 230 yds per 25 g) measure a total of approx. 280 m / 306 yds per 100 g – i.e. more than classic worsted weight. However, due to the fullness of the mohair and the low knitting tension, it corresponds in practice to worsted weight (US category 4) in thickness.

Description
Construction
The Hexa Vest and Sweater are constructed from triangles and hexagons, all knitted in stockinette stitch – one at a time and in one color.
Stitches are gathered/knitted along the way, so that all modules are knitted together continuously – without any sewing.
The first three triangles have one common center stitch and together form a hexagon in the middle of the back. From here, continue knitting – back and front pieces, module by module.
The edge is knitted last, so the length can be adjusted. The work is finished with a loose cast-off in stockinette stitch.
The name
The name Hexa refers to the design, where six triangles form a hexagon in the middle of the back. This hexagon is the starting point for the entire construction of the vest or sweater.
The design combines modular knitting with simple techniques and offers ample opportunity to play with colors, yarn qualities, and leftovers—creating a look that is both personal and exciting.
