Knitting needles
Recommended needle size:
3.5 mm / US 4
(or the needle size that gives the correct gauge)
Gauge (garter stitch):
24 stitches = 10 cm (4 in)
Yarn choice
The pattern can be knitted with:
– Fingering weight yarn (approx. 400 m / 100 g)
– Sport weight yarn (approx. 320 m / 100 g)
– Lace weight yarn – two strands held together (approx. 800 m / 100 g)
The most important thing is that the gauge is correct.
Finished weight per size
- (S) – approx. 600 g / 21.2 oz
- M – approx. 650 g / 22.9 oz
- (L) – approx. 700 g / 24.7 oz
- XL – approx. 750 g / 26.5 oz
- (2XL) – approx. 800 g / 28.2 oz
Tip: Calculate a little extra yarn just in case.

Model yarn and colours
The model in the picture is size (L) and is knitted in:
– Baby Alpaca (lace weight, held double)
– Kid Mohair (2-ply, one strand)
in approx.48 different colours and 2 qualities.
However, the sweater can easily be knitted with fewer (or more) colours and isperfect as a stash-busting project.
